Our focus is to develop and scale technology that measures and mitigates methane emissions in the livestock industry. Today, 1.3 billion people rely on this industry for livelihoods and food security; it is a major source of methane emissions globally. The deployment of our technologies on a global scale has the potential to drive half the global methane reduction needed by 2030 and to transform the beef and dairy industries. ZELP was an inaugural winner of the Terra Carta Design Lab and has received funding and support from the European Commission, Innovate UK, The Global Methane Hub and the Gates Foundation.Role SummaryAs Senior Mechanical Engineer within ZELP, you will provide instrumental engineering input, and play a fundamental role in the development of ZELP\''s technologies.Main Responsibilities

Concepting and ideationSupporting key design decision making alongside other senior and lead engineersProviding quality drawings and CAD for prototyping and fabrication of partsHands-on prototyping and building of test samplesProducing and maintaining thorough and accurate design project documentationPreparing, testing, and monitoring the progress of trials so that all failures to meet requirements are corrected in a timely manner and communicated effectively to the teamImplementing design changes that are evaluated for feasibility, cost, and timing and implemented with care and thoroughnessSupporting other departments (Hardware, Software, Animal Science) with problem-solving and other project activitiesRequirements
