Assess and recommend on listed building consent applications. Prepare appeal statements and provide evidence at hearings and inquiries. Advise customers on planning and heritage matters, including pre-application advice. Conduct character appraisals and manage conservation areas. Carry out buildings at risk surveys. Contribute to planning policies related to heritage issues. Support economic regeneration and growth projects. Ensure high standards of health and safety. Promote equality and diversity in service provision. Person Specifications Must Have Ability to present applications and give evidence at hearings and inquiries. Experience in character appraisals and historic building reports. Knowledge of planning legislation related to conservation. Experience with listed building consent applications. Proficiency in IT software, including planning systems and Microsoft Office. Self-motivated and organized, with good communication skills. Degree in conservation or a related field.
