Alumni and Events Officer

Overview
Bristol Grammar School is seeking a temporary, full-time Alumni and Events Officer to cover a maternity leave from January 2026.The Alumni Events and Communications Officer plays a key role within the team; creating and delivering powerful communication and delivering strategic events in order to engage the whole BGS Community (our alumni, parents and friends) whilst developing and supporting relationships with the wider Old Bristolian network.Responsibilities
Create and deliver effective communications and strategic events to engage the BGS Community (alumni, parents and friends) and support relationships with the wider Old Bristolian network.Manage social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bitly, Linktree and X.Utilise design skills (including Canva) to produce social media posts, PowerPoints and internal communications.Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute events, communications plans and engagement activities.Qualifications
Knowledge and experience of managing social media platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Bitly, Linktree and X.Proficient design skills, including use of Canva and basic video editing.Ability to create content for social media posts, presentations and internal communications.Benefits
