Search Recruitment Group are supporting a leading business in Liverpool in their search for a Management Accountant on a 15 month Fixed Term Contract to support the finance function through a critical period. This role is ideal for someone part-qualified or qualified by experience, with strong UK accounting knowledge and experience owning complex areas of the month-end process.Key Responsibilities:Lead preparation of the monthly PandL and key journal entries.Perform balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Maintain the fixed asset register and record depreciation.Post and review bad debt provisions, accruals, and other adjustments.Submit accurate VAT returns and assist with compliance tasks.Manage intercompany recharges (including multi-currency transactions).Support year-end processes and audit requests.Train and delegate to junior staff as neededAbout You:Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/AAT) or qualified by experience.Proven experience with month-end accounting in a UK environment.Confident working on complex accounting areas with limited supervision.Good Excel skillsCollaborative, with experience guiding or mentoring junior team membersWhat''s on offer:Salary 40,000 - 45,000 dependant on experienceExcellent benefits including: Hybrid working 3 days office/2 home25 days annual leave + bank holidays PensionCritical illnessLife AssuranceDISSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicant
