Job DescriptionAn exciting opportunity has arisen within our Nursery team for an Apprentice Nursery Practitioner to join us. We are looking for someone with a passion to ensure children have the best start in life.

Main duties and responsibilities
Provide a safe, caring, welcoming, purposeful, stimulating educational environment, indoors and outdoors, at all times
Deliver an appropriate play-based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress
Be willing to learn and understand the principles of EYFS and how to put it into practice
Help ensure the Nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times
Understand and follow Nursery and Company policies and procedures, including safeguarding, incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
Plan activities to ensure each child works towards the early learning outcomes
Maintain records (attendance, accident and incident book, risk assessments)
Liaise with parents/carers, inform them about the nursery and its curriculum, share information on children’s progress and encourage involvement
Assist colleagues to organise the learning environment and ensure resources meet the needs of the children
Monitor and evaluate children’s learning through assessments and monitoring strategies
Promote positive behaviour, self-control and independence through the behaviour policy
Promote children’s rights, equality, inclusion and anti-discriminatory practice
Focus on personal learning and development; attend monthly meetings and participate in training and staff days
Embrace and implement the mission of the Nursery
