Astute Recruitment-are recruiting for a-Bookkeeper on behalf of our client based in Nottingham.

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper-to join their team on a full-time, fully onsite basis-at their office in Nottingham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong bookkeeping experience who enjoys working with a diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping-records for multiple clients across various industries
• Manage both accounts payable and receivable ledgers
• Prepare, review, and submit VAT returns
• Process CIS returns-and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Assist with the early stages of accounts preparation
• Liaise with clients, resolving queries and providing financial insights
• Work across multiple bookkeeping software packages (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)

Requirements:

• Proven bookkeeping-experience within an accountancy practice-or in a role handling multiple company accounts
• Proficiency in using multiple bookkeeping software packages (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of VAT regulations-and CIS returns
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
• AAT qualification-or equivalent experience (desirable)
