Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic General Catering Assistant to join our team in Harewood, United Kingdom. As a key member of our catering staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional customer service in our food service areas.Assist in the preparation of food and snacks, following recipes and food safety guidelinesMaintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and restaurant areas at all timesProvide friendly, efficient, and hygienic service to all customersEnsure prompt and efficient customer service, consistently exceeding expectationsMaintain visibility during service periods, being approachable and quick to fulfill customer needsKeep service areas and counters clean, fully stocked, and presentableCollaborate with team members to deliver efficient and effective serviceFollow unit cleaning schedules rigorouslyAttend and participate in required food safety, health and safety, and environmental training coursesAssist with additional kitchen and service area duties as requested by management
Qualifications
Basic food handling and safety knowledgeAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsTeam player mentality with a collaborative approachPhysical stamina and ability to stand for extended periodsKeen attention to detail in food preparation and presentationExcellent time management and organizational skillsFlexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysCustomer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing exceptional serviceWillingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and techniquesHigh school diploma or equivalent (preferred)Previous experience in food service or hospitality (preferred but not required)
