Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Advisor with a background in a highly regulated industry on a permanent basis, to be located in Cumbria.Responsible for: Provide the business with competent HSE and Radiological advice and actively supporting the implementation of Beyond Zero. Support the implementation of legislative requirements and HSE standards in coordination with business and project management. Maintaining a proactive approach to nuclear, radiological, conventional and environmental safety at all times. Advising and supporting office, laboratory, site and project teams on hazard identification, the preparation and implementation of safe systems of work and risk assessments. Monitor compliance to HSE standards; including monitoring and reporting at the business operational project reviews and administrative reviews; conduct scheduled field visits and inspections, recommend and follow through on corrective actions. Conduct HSE communications meetings with senior management, supply chain partners, contractors and joint HSE committees, participate in client safety meetings, as required. Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents for root cause identification, and recommended preventive action. Provide advice to ensure Construction activities are undertaken in line with CDM requirements.
