This is a senior, strategic role within Jacobs’ Programmes and Advisory business, where you’ll join a network of digital professionals managing the digital function across major programmes. You’ll work closely with solution architects and innovation teams across global delivery centres to ensure consistent, high-quality digital engineering outcomes.
You’ll oversee the integration of platforms such as GIS, simulation, modelling, cost, data warehousing, and analytics—ensuring they align with programme goals and client needs.
You’ll also develop business cases for technology adoption, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and champion the use of automation and working from data-driven insights.
We’re looking for a self-assured, visionary and inspirational leader with deep expertise in digital engineering and a passion for driving change. You’ll need to be comfortable questioning the status quo, enabling technical experts, and translating digital capability into real-world outcomes. Jacobs operates a hybrid work environment and a 40 hour working week as standard.
Responsibilities
Shape the future of programme delivery by embedding cutting-edge digital platforms and data-driven solutions into some of the UK and Ireland’s most complex infrastructure programmes.
Be the strength behind smarter, more integrated, and scalable engineering solutions—driving automation, innovation, and performance improvement across the board.
Inspire influencing C-suite stakeholders, enable subject matter experts, and guide cross-functional teams to deliver future-ready digital capabilities.
Your stewardship will directly impact how programmes are designed, delivered, and evolved—making you a key player in transforming the way we build and operate.
Oversee the integration of platforms such as GIS, simulation, modelling, cost, data warehousing and analytics—ensuring they align with programme goals and client needs.
Develop business cases for technology adoption, identify opportunities for continuous improvement, and champion the use of automation and data-driven insights.
Collaborate with solution architects and innovation teams across global delivery centres to ensure consistent, high-quality digital engineering outcomes.
Qualifications
Extensive experience in digital engineering management across complex programmes.
Strong understanding of engineering platforms and their operationalisation.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate global delivery.
Strategic mindset with the ability to influence at C-suite level.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Ability to mentor and enable subject matter experts.
Experience developing business cases and directing platform adoption.
Cross-platform experience within the digital engineering domain.
Nice to Have
Experience in infrastructure, health, defence, energy, or regulated sectors.
Familiarity with enterprise architecture and an understanding of data integration.
Exposure to Agile delivery and strategic business change programmes.
Understanding of both tactical and strategic transformation initiatives.
