This vital role supports the school''s commitment to ensuring that every child feels safe, supported and able to thrive in a caring and secure environment.As Safeguarding Officer, you will coordinate the school''s daily safeguarding provision, working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, Pastoral Leads and external agencies. You will play a key role in identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns, ensuring timely and effective interventions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting pupils, families and staff across the school.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate and manage the school''s response to safeguarding concerns, ensuring procedures are followed in line with statutory guidanceLead on daily triage of safeguarding disclosures and direct to appropriate staff or agenciesSubmit referrals and represent the school at multi-agency meetingsMaintain accurate, confidential safeguarding records and monitor interventions through MyConcernLiaise with students, parents and carers to ensure appropriate support and signposting to external agenciesSupport the wellbeing and reintegration of students following absence or safeguarding-related concernsProvide advice, guidance and up-to-date information to staff regarding safeguarding issues and proceduresContribute to staff induction and ongoing
