MMP Consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to join a Housing Association based in Birmingham on a permanent basis. The salary will be -47,787 per annum inclusive of a car allowance.

The Building Surveyor will be responsible for 20-40 properties and will oversee surveys for maintenance, planned projects and damp and mould across the portfolio. They will ensure safety, quality, and value for money are delivered on every project.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with housing colleagues to uphold our high standards.
• Managing inspections, repairs, and investment programmes.
• Diagnosing building defects, including damp and mould, and ensuring timely remediation.
• Contributing to long-term asset management and investment strategies.
• Working with commercial teams to achieve cost-effective outcomes.

Requirements:

• Experience in housing property management
• Strong understanding of social housing maintenance and planned investment works
• Knowledge of building pathology, including damp, mould and condensation
• Ability to manage large-scale planned works and capital projects
• Proficiency in analysing property data to inform decision-making
• Minimum HNC/D in a property-related subject or equivalent relevant experience
