Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools across Leicestershire

GSL Education is looking for reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Leicestershire. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking classroom experience or those looking for a flexible role in education.

Key Requirements:

• Strong communication skills with high levels of English
• A proactive attitude and commitment to student development
• Ideally, a degree in a curriculum subject (not essential)
• Experience working with young people (preferably in a school setting)
• A DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one)

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes in the absence of teachers, ensuring students stay engaged and follow the lesson plan. You will help maintain a positive classroom environment, support students in their learning, and assist in ensuring lessons are delivered effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise students during teacher absence, ensuring they follow the lesson plan
• Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
• Support students with their work and encourage focus
• Assist with administrative duties, including taking registers
• Report any issues or concerns to relevant staff members

Pay Rate:

• £100–£110 per day, depending on experience
