About You In order to be successful as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be friendly and approachable with outstanding interpersonal skills that you can use to build strong, healthy relationships with pupils with complex needs. You will have some understanding of additional learning needs, obtained via the completion of a relevant degree, that you will use to facilitate the unique needs of each individual. You will have confidence in your ability to adapt yourself and learning materials to the needs of each child, to ensure that the maximum potential of every young person is fulfilled. The Role As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside children with severe learning difficulties and ensuring all their needs are met. The role may be varied working on a one-to-one or small group basis with learners with complex needs. It is essential that the successful candidate is motivated to understand what motivates each child to enable full engagement and maximise attainment.
